Asbestos surveys are a legal requirement and need to be in place for all non-domestic properties built before the year 2000, to full comply with Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 (CAR2012); Regulation 4 Duty to Manage, and for all domestic premises if they become a ‘place of work’.

HSE statistics state there are over 5,000 asbestos-related disease deaths per year in the UK; including mesothelioma, lung cancer and asbestosis.

In granular terms, 13 people a day in the UK die from health conditions caused by previous exposure to asbestos – more than double the number of people who die on the roads each day.
